C’est inévitable, il faudra faire appel à un professionnel pour effectuer les réparations nécessaires ou pour faire paver une toute nouvelle entrée.
Quels matériaux pour le pavage de votre entrée?
L’asphalte
Probablement le matériau le plus populaire d’entre tous, l’asphalte est sans aucun doute celui qui épargnera le plus votre portefeuille. Généralement vouée à une durée de vie d’environ 15 ans, l’entrée en asphalte peut toutefois être conservée pendant 20 ans si sa fondation est bien compactée, qu’elle est d’une bonne épaisseur et qu’elle possède un granulat de bonne qualité.
Saviez-vous que…
Il est bon de savoir qu’il n’est pas toujours possible de faire faire un resurfaçage de l’entrée. En effet, votre entrée doit toujours conserver une pente minimale de 2% pour permettre à l’eau de pluie de s’écouler et de ne pas stagner sur la surface.
Vous êtes propriétaire d’une nouvelle résidence?
Ne soyez pas trop pressé d’asphalter votre entrée, car vous devez attendre entre 6 et 12 mois pour que le sol se soit suffisamment compacté de façon naturelle pour pouvoir le faire.
Vous avez un camion ou un véhicule récréatif?
N’oubliez pas d’aviser l’entrepreneur avant le début des travaux si vous avez un véhicule récréatif ou un camion. En effet, pour les entrées qui ont besoin d’absorber une charge de poids supplémentaire, les entrepreneurs utilisent un mélange d’asphalte plus résistant.

Le pavé uni
Autre matériau très populaire pour le pavage de l’entrée, le pavé uni consiste en un mélange d’agrégats, de ciment et de sable. Un peu plus dispendieux au moment de l’achat que l’asphalte, il possède toutefois une durée de vie d’environ 30 ans.
Facile à réparer, une entrée réalisée avec ce type de matériau ne requiert que le retrait des pavés sur le sol et la mise à niveau de celui-ci. Peu de savoir-faire est donc nécessaire pour que l’entrée maintienne une belle apparence au fil des ans.
Le béton
Reconnu pour sa grande résistance, le béton possède lui aussi une durée de vie assez enviable (soit environ 30 ans). Comme il est plus coûteux que les autres matériaux, certains optent pour la réalisation d’une entrée qui mélange le béton avec le pavé uni. Ce mélange permet d’ailleurs de tirer profit des nombreuses textures offertes par le pavé uni.
